Stainless steel flex is a simple way to divert exhaust gases, and used in a wide range of applications and industries, from diving compressors and stationary engines, to trucks and earthmoving equipment. It can also be used as a flexible flue for fireboxes and fireplaces.
Flexible stainless steel exhaust tube is designed to go over rigid exhaust tube, so is measured by the internal diameter. Northern Mufflers stock flexible exhaust tubing in smaller sizes: 1" (25mm), 2" (51mm), 3” (76mm), and then larger sizes: 4” (102mm), 5” (127mm, also the most common size used on trucks), and 6” (152mm), and half sizes in between. We can supply it by the metre, full 3.0m length, or cut it to the length you require.
Remember your clamps when ordering - we recommend using Torctite stainless steel EasySeal or Lap clamps (see below links). EasySeal clamps form their own shape once tightened, and lap clamps are manufactured pre-formed with a step - they are also known as stepped clamps. Each clamp is supplied with a nut and bolt kit.
